Thomas Lindsay, MD, is an addiction medicine specialist at Davidson River Recovery, providing high-quality addiction treatment and recovery to adults in Brevard, North Carolina, and throughout Transylvania County.
Dr. Lindsay was born and raised in High Point, North Carolina. He went to college for woodworking and spent 10 years restoring furniture before deciding to pursue a career in medicine.
Dr. Lindsay earned his medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine at Chapel Hill. After graduation, he completed a family practice residency at East Carolina University in Greenville, receiving extensive training in preventive, general, and addiction medicine.
This experience inspired Dr. Lindsay to specialize in addiction medicine. In 2005, he opened his private practice in Cashiers, North Carolina, offering family medicine and treatment for opioid addiction with Suboxone® and buprenorphine.
Dr. Lindsay relocated to Brevard in 2019 and opened Davidson River Recovery, a medical practice for people struggling with opioid addiction. Davidson River Recovery offers a safe place for adults to receive treatment for substance use disorder (SUD) without judgment. Dr. Lindsay knows that recovery is a journey and loves helping his patients achieve their full potential.
Outside the office, Dr. Lindsay enjoys spending time with his dog, Bernie, and his two adult sons. He spends most weekends in his woodworking shop on Rosman Highway, designing and building furniture.
Dr. Lindsay encourages anyone experiencing opioid addiction to schedule a consultation at Davidson River Recovery today.
